Taking Membership Nominations!
At DAY, we believe that honor is more than just recognition—it’s a commitment to growth, leadership, and service. As an esteemed society, we bring together ambitious youth who strive for excellence in all aspects of life. Founded with these five core values in mind, we hope to influence the well-rounded citizens of tomorrow.
Scholarship
Education is the foundation of success. We encourage academic excellence and lifelong learning by recognizing outstanding students and providing resources to help them reach their full potential. Whether it's private 1-on-1 tutor sessions from alums in the area or our College and Career finder network, our members are encouraged and supported through their academic and life journey.

Service
Making a difference starts with giving back. Through volunteer programs, fundraising events, and community outreach, our members engage in meaningful service projects that leave a lasting impact. Our intake program infamously includes mentorship through a community or internal organization related service project. The Albany Chapter has donated over $2,000 to charities in the area and accumulated a hefty 4,600 total volunteer hours. Our current members volunteer on average 100 hours a year (that's nearly double the national average)!
Character
Honor and integrity define who we are. aDAY upholds the highest ethical standards, encouraging members to act with honesty, responsibility, and respect in all areas of life. Those enthusiastic about law and civic engagement should consider serving on our Appellate Court, an appeals board that handles member concerns through a judiciary process. Court members also aid in reviewing our Chapter Constitution, overseeing our intake program, and ensuring all members are treated with due process.
Citizenship
Great leaders are engaged citizens. We promote social responsibility, civic engagement, and a global perspective to prepare our members to contribute positively to society. Our members go everywhere and do everything. We've had award winning researchers to Ivy League grads walk through our organization and what they all have in common is a commitment to driving the world "porro et sursum".
